Ginger Soy Glazed Cod is a flavorful and healthy dish that features tender cod fillets glazed with a savory mix of soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, fresh ginger, and garlic. Baked to perfection, the cod absorbs the rich glaze, resulting in a deliciously moist and aromatic meal. Garnished with green onions, sesame seeds, and fresh cilantro, and served with lime wedges, this dish offers a delightful combination of sweet, savory, and tangy flavors that are perfect for a quick and elegant dinner.

  • Total Time: 60 minutes
  • Yield: 4

Ingredients

4 pcs cod fillets (6 oz each)

1⁄4 cup soy sauce

2 tbs honey

2 tbs rice vinegar

1 tbs fresh ginger, grated

2 unit garlic cloves, minced

1 tbs sesame oil

2 unit green onions, thinly sliced (for garnish)

1 tbs sesame seeds (for garnish)

1 unit fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)

1 unit lime wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, grated ginger, minced garlic, and sesame oil until well combined.

Place the cod fillets on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the soy ginger glaze evenly over each fillet, making sure they are well coated.

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the cod is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

Remove from the oven and transfer the cod fillets to serving plates.

Garnish with thinly sliced green onions, sesame seeds, and fresh cilantro.

Serve immediately with lime wedges on the side for an extra burst of flavor. Enjoy!

Notes

For the best flavor, use fresh, high-quality cod fillets. Marinate the cod in the ginger soy glaze for 15-30 minutes before baking for deeper flavor. Keep an eye on the cod while baking; it’s done when it flakes easily with a fork. This dish pairs well with steamed rice or roasted vegetables. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
