Instructions
Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, white whole wheat flour, brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, and salt.
Add the cold cubed butter and cut it into the dry mix until it resembles coarse crumbs. In a separate bowl, whisk milk, egg, and vanilla; add to dry mixture and stir gently.
Fold in the chopped apples until evenly distributed without overmixing.
Scoop 2–3 tablespoon mounds of batter onto the baking sheet and gently flatten.
Bake 18–22 minutes until golden brown and set. Cool 5 minutes.
Whisk together confectioner's sugar, milk, and vanilla to form a smooth glaze. Drizzle over warm fritters and allow to set.
