Equipment

  • Large Skillet
  • Baking Dish

Ingredients

Loose Meat Filling

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 1 tbsp minced onion
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 beef bouillon cube crumbled
  • 1 tbsp cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Slider Assembly

  • 12 slider buns
  • dill pickle slices to taste
  • 6 slices cheese halved

Butter Topping

  • 1/2 cup butter melted
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard

Instructions

  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and minced onion, breaking the meat apart constantly until finely crumbled but not browned.
  • Add water and crumble in the beef bouillon cube. Stir until dissolved and simmer gently, keeping the meat loose and tender.
  • Stir in cider vinegar and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer uncovered for 10–15 minutes until juicy but not soupy.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Place bottom slider buns in a baking dish and spoon meat evenly over them. Add pickles and cheese, then top with remaining buns.
  • Mix melted butter, brown sugar, and Dijon mustard. Brush generously over the tops of the buns.
  • Cover with foil and bake for 10 minutes. Uncover and bake an additional 5 minutes until golden and glossy.

Notes

For the most authentic Maid-Rite texture, avoid browning the beef. Serve immediately while warm.
